373,724. Wireless transmitting and receiving apparatus; aerials. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin April 13, 1931, No. 10857. Convention date, April 11, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] Electrical apparatus carrying high-frequency alternating currents, such as the short-wave aerials or coils of a wireless transmitting of receiving set, or electric condensers, are supported or suspended by means of metallic conductors so shaped and dimensioned as to be of high alternating current resistance. In cases where it is necessary to insulate against direct or low-frequency alternating current, as well as against high-frequency currents, ordinary insulations may be employed in addition to the metallic conductors. In one arrangement, Fig. 1, the plates 1, 2 of a condenser are supported on coil-shaped conductors 4 by means of members 3 which may serve as leads for the high-frequency energy. In another arrangement, Fig. 2, a high-frequency coil 5, supplied by a valve generator 7, is insulated by coil-shaped conductors 4 and insulators 6 for both direct and high-frequency currents. A source of anode current 8 is preferably connected to the lower end of one of the coils 4. Specification 308,664, [Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.], is referred to.
