Abstract

In the process for degumming and stabilizing cracked hydrocarbon distillates as described in the parent Specification by heating such distillates to 700-800 DEG F. under a pressure of about 70 atmospheres for about 20 minutes, a proportion of residual oil from the distillation of a cracked hydrocarbon condensate is added to the distillate before the treatment. The residue used is preferably that produced by the distillation of the product obtained by the method of the parent Specification and may be added in proportions of 2-50 per cent.
