[Class 66.] In a baking tin of the type used for baking loaves or cakes and made of perforated metal reinforced at its edges the reinforcement at the bottom of tin is arranged to raise the bottom of the tin off the oven shelf. The reinforcement comprises a thick upper wire frame a and two U-shaped side frames of wire b and the tin is built up by bending the end edges of a piece of perforated metal c round the frame a at c<1> and the side edges round the frame b as at c<2>, the sides of the tin being completed by two pieces of perforated metal d which pass up inside the frame a and are bent round this frame at d<1> ; the side and bottom edges of the sections d being bent round the frame b and portions c<2> of the section c, as at d<2>. Plain metal strips which extend along the edges and take over small portions of the sides may be used for reinforcement instead of wire frames or the upper edges of the tin may be turned over a wire frame and secured to an upper edge reinforcing strip. The tins may be made of single or multiple units or may be joined by clips.
