Abstract
372,016. Filing papers. CASSIN, P., 19, Eastcheap, London. March 6, 1931, No. 7007. [Class 146 (i).] In document files of the kind in which the documents l are held between covers a, d by a lace threaded through apertures h in the covers and documents, the lace is in one or two lengths and consists of an inextensible part g and a spring part j of limited extensibility, and the free ends of the lace are each separately provided with a hook or stud q<1> engaging one of a series of holes n in a plate m extending along one of the covers. Each spring is secured at one end k in a recess i in the cover a and has a hooked link r extending therethrough to limit its extensibility. The plate m is secured to the cover d by eyelets o through which the lace passes. When the lace is in one length, the middle part thereof extends slackly through and is attached to the ends of a single helical spring j. A binding flap s on the cover a can be secured to the cover d by pasting when the file is full.
