Abstract
369,842. Gas condensing processes. OTTO & CO. GES. DR. C., 9, Christstrasse, Bochum, Germany. July 16, 1931, No. 20424. Convention date, July 25, 1930. [Class 55 (ii).] Distillation products drawn off from ducts formed in the interior of a charge of coal are subjected to tar separating processes whereby only those tar fractions of which the specific gravity is not substantially less than that of water are removed. The tar may be separated by injecting tar at a temperature above the dew point, or by passing it through a strong electric field of uniform potential.
