[Class 83 (i).] In casting metals, such as ferrous metals, copper, aluminium, zinc, and alloys thereof, an electric current, insufficient to materially retard the rate of cooling, is passed through the metal in the mould. 0À5 or 5 amperes, direct current, per square cm. may be used and the casting may be worked.
