Abstract

366,828. Safety cut-off valves. CANNER, E., 14, Wynfield Road, and POOLEY, H., 32, Victoria Park Road, both in Leicester. May 14, 1931, No. 14256. [Class 135.] A safety cut-off gas valve opened by means of a pull rod j and maintained open by outlet pressure acting on a diaphragm e has a conical valve member h co-operating with a conical seat g. The inlet passage b opens into the side of the valve seat and the valve member is provided with an outlet port i. In a modification an ellipsoidal lift valve member co-operates with a corresponding seat having an inlet at the bottom. According to the Provisional Specification a solid, hollow or ported piston valve may replace the conical valve. Specification 353,681 is referred to.
