Abstract
366,715. X-ray measuring instruments. MœLLER AKT.-GES., C. H. F., 24, F³hlsb³ttelerdam, F³hlsb³ttel, Hamburg, Germany. Feb. 3, 1931, No. 3435. Convention date, Feb. 21, 1930. [Class 98 (i).] An X-ray measuring instrument comprises a main receiver such as an ionization chamber 1, or a photo - electric cell, and an additional receiver 7 which is more sensitive to hard rays than to soft rays and is coupled to the main receiver in such a way as to modify the indication of the action of the hard rays on the main receiver. The ionization chamber 1 is charged up by a battery 2 and the auxiliary chamber 7 is arranged in parallel with the condenser 5 and with the meter 6. The action of the receiver 7 can be modified as by filters 8 which absorb soft radiation or by altering its dimensions, thereby modifying the sensitivity of the instrument in accordance with the radiation to be measured.
