Abstract

365,395. Lacing-fastenings. PLANTE, F. X., Sloatsburg, New York, U.S.A. March 12, 1931, No. 7687. [Class 43.] A fastening device for joining the ends of the neckband 11 of a shirt 10, and also for attaching a collar 12 thereto, consists of an element of cord, tape, or like material having three members 16, 17, 17, the two members 17 being secured at one end as by sewing at 19 to the neckband to form a loop, and the third member 16 being passed through a hole 13 in the neckband, and holes 15 on the collar and then projected into the loop. The member 16 may carry a stiff tip 18 of metal, celluloid, or the like. The fastening element is Y-shape in construction, the two members 17 being of equal length and shorter than that of the member 16. One end only of the neckband may carry a buttonhole, the other end having the members 17 attached. The device may also be applied at the rear of the neckband to attach a collar, in which case the third member is passed through a rear hole in the collar and then projected into the loop.
