363,951. Drawing wire. NACKEN, W., 38, Chemnitzerstrasse, Gr³na, Saxony, Germany. May 22, 1931, No. 15130. [Class 83 (iv).] In a continuous wire drawing machine, for reducing stout wire by a large number of successive stages, the drums are arranged in pairs one above the other, and following pairs are arranged obliquely, so that the wire passes straight from one to the next without guides. The drums for the initial stages are single and of comparatively large diameter to avoid bending the wire sharply before its diameter has been reduced. The lower drums are immersed in a bath of lubricant A<4>. Specification 185,032, [Class 83 (iv), Metals, Working], is referred to.
