Abstract
363,729. Composition fuel. ECCLES, E., 7, Burford Drive, Whalley Range, Manchester. Feb. 4, 1931, No. 26980/30. [Class 50.] Firelighters of the kind comprising wood shavings contained in a paper or like wrapper are made on a moulding board b which has sidepieces c, the paper being laid on the board and the shavings e on the paper which is then wrapped round them, overlapping ends being secured by a tack f. The made-up cartons are dipped endwise preferably in bundles of seven into molten paraffin wax so as to be rather more than half immersed, left to drain and cool, the other ends then being immersed. Corrugated or perforated paper may be used or draughtholes made through the block as by projections on the ends c one. of which may be removable.
