J., 17, Beechmont Avenue, Hanwell, both in London, and ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT CO., Ltd., Windmill Lane, Southall, Middlesex. Oct. 28, 1930, No. 32416. [Class 7 (ii).] A clean exterior is produced by locating the air or mixture inlet passage 30 within the overhead valve-gear casing 16 and connecting the same by vertical passages 21, and curved passages 25 in the cylinder head, to the valve ports 12. The passage 30 has, preferably, an intake at one end only provided with an air filter, the passages 21 may comprise separate pipes and the passages 25 are connected by a conduit 23.
