Abstract
363,451. Chair bedsteads. RISBORO' FURNITURE, Ltd., Station Works, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, and DEAN, E. H., 2, Queen's Gardens, Ealing, London. Oct. 17, 1930, No. 31201. [Class 52 (ii).] The chair-bedstead claimed in Specification 287,989, [Class 52 (ii), Furniture for sitting &c. upon], is so modified that the intermediate frame or panel, instead of being pivoted directly to the main frame of the structure, is indirectly pivoted thereto in such a manner as to enable it to be extended forwardly of the main frame to constitute the intermediate section of a bed or to overlie said main frame to constitute the seat of the chair while the leg section is extended to constitute a leg-rest. Figs. 11 and 12 show such a device, the intermediate section I being pivoted to the main frame by links o. A modification is shown diagrammatically in Figs. 1, 2, and 3, the back section being omitted in these Figures, in which the intermediate section I is pivoted to blocks b slidable on the main frame c.
