[Class 83 (i).] Mould materials.-A cast-iron or other centrifugal mould a has a loosely inserted copper or other sheet-metal lining b. The edges 1, 2 of the lining may be bevelled and may overlap as shown. If the mould is longer than the breadth of a sheet two or more sheets b<1>, b<2>, Fig. 3, may be arranged telescopically. The sheets are preferably 1 to 2 mm. thick and may be thicker adjacent to the pouring duct.
