Abstract
361,573. Feeding granular &c. material into conveyer pipes, VOITH, W., VOITH, H., and VOITH, H., (trading as VOITH, J. M.), Heidenheim, Brenz, Wurtemberg, Germany. Nov. 4, 1930, No. 33124. Convention date, Nov. 4, 1929. [Class 59.] A rotary wheel E is provided with cells E<1> which receive material from a hopper B and discharge the same into a pipe line C. In the discharge position of a cell the pipe line and cell form a continuous curved passage so that the whole of the material in the cell is carried along by the air blast. A rotary brush F, Fig. 1, cleans the periphery of the rotor and a perforation G in the casing A permits the escape of any compressed air remaining in the cells. The pipe line may be open at one end to the atmosphere when applied to a suction conveyer plant.
