Convention date, Oct. 4, 1929. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (ii).] A body is rendered incandescent by a highfrequency field which is generated by a coil located within the bulb. The body may consist of a metallic sphere coated with a precious metal, or of magnesium, cerium, or thorium oxide which is heated to a temperature at which it is electrically conducting by means of small metallic bodies thereon.
