Abstract
360,052. R e s e r v o i r pens. FREIWIRTH, L., 95, Delaware Mansions, Maida Hill, London. April 1, 1931, No. 19946/30. [Class 146 (iii).] In a reservoir pen, particularly a reservoir drawing-pen of the kind having a displaceable member 25 on the ink reservoir 22 for the purpose of forcing ink to the writing point, the displaceable member is formed as a concave cap to avoid accidental displacement. The cap may be secured in place by engaging with a flange on the end of the reservoir or by means of a clamping ring screwed on to the reservoir. The cap may be formed of rubber, thin metal, or rigid material adapted to be returned to normal position by a spring. The device is shown applied to a reservoir drawing- pen having a blade 10 secured to a plug 11 closing the end of the reservoir and formed with a passage to permit the flow of ink. The other pen blade is held in position by a peg 14 engaging a recess in the plug 11 and a pin and nut 13, 16. A screw plug 18 and cleaning rod 19 close the ink-feed passage when the pen is not in use.
