Abstract
358,657. Electric hot-plates and cooking-vessels. ELEKTRA GES., Rieden, near Bregenz, Austria. Aug. 21, 1930, No. 25070. Convention date, Aug. 21, 1929. [Class 39 (iii).] The heating resistance spirals 3 are partly embedded in an insulating member 2 in good heat conducting relationship with the vessel or hot plate. In Fig. 1, the member 2 is arranged in a sheet metal cover 6 and arms 4 of a metal disc 41 embedded in the member 2 conduct heat therefrom to the hot-plate 1. In Fig 2 the insulating member is carried by a cover 7 fitted with internal ribs 7<1> and bolted to the hot-plate. A heat insulating cover 8 of asbestos wool or kieselguhr is provided. The parts of the wire embedded in the insulating member are of increased cross section.
