[Class 123 (ii).] Electric motors 15, 16, 17 operating the feed pump 6, blower 13 and fuel feeder 12 of the boiler plant 1 are controlled by the steam pressure of the boiler 4 acting on a piston 30 adapted to actuate electric contacts 27, 28, 29 which engage with countercontacts 24, 25, 26, to close the circuits of motors 21, 22, 23 for adjusting the field rheostat 18, 19, 20 of the supply motors 15, 16, 17. The rotary movements of the motors 21, 22, 23 is transmitted synchronously through distributers 37, 38, 39 to motors 34, 35, 36 which actuate cams 31, 32, 33 having the desired regulating characteristic, to move the countercontacts 24, 25, 26 and break the circuit of the motors 21, 22, 23. The countercontacts 24, 25, 26 may be operated by hand through a handle 41 on a distributor shaft 40 in which case the connections between the motors 34, 35, 36 and the adjusting motors 21, 22, 23 are interrupted by opening the switches 42, 43, 44 and the switches 87, 88, 89 are closed. Pushbutton switches are provided in the circuits of the adjusting motors 21, 22, 23 so that adjustment may be effected by hand.
