[Class 38 (ii).] To prevent entry of moisture the distance between the projecting edges of the layers of foil at the ends of a condenser of the wound type is kept small, of the order of À1 mm., so that when mounted horizontally and oil-immersed as in the parent Specification, oil is held by surface-tension in the interstices.
