[Classes 92 (ii) and 119.] A machine gun or automatic smallarm of the gas-operated type has in combination (1) the means C<1>, C<2> described in Specification 350,892 for detachablv holding a drum magazine C in position on the gun casing, (2) the two-part gas plug D, D<1> described in Specification 348,568, and (3) the recoil and buffer springs H, J, described in Specification 354,330. The firing pin K is made separate from the striker-post F and is furnished with a retracting spring K<1>.
