353,746. Refrigerating. DEUTSCHE GASGLÅ“HLICHT-AUER-GES., 16, Rotherstrasse, Berlin. Sept. 3, 1930, No. 26266. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1929. [Class 29.] Absorption systems.- An evaporator for systems such as that described in Specification 308,692, [Class 29, Cooling &c.], comprises several chambers a, b, c connected by vertical branches 3 with a header pipe 4 and with one another by wide-bore pipes 11 leading from the bottom of one chamber and through its side to the top of the next as shown. The liquid refrigerant first fills the end chamber a, the vertical branch of which does not extend far into the pipe 4, and flows through successive pipes 11 into the other chambers. Vapour passes back to the absorber from the header pipe. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a similar evaporator with depending U-pipes instead of the pipes 11, as described in Specification 308,692, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a). This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
