353,226. Furnace walls. BREDTSCHNEIDER, W., 10, Mor Ostrava, Vitkovicezelezarny, Czecho-Slovakia. July 7, 1930, No. 20563. Convention date, Oct. 15, 1929. [Class 51 (i).] In a furnace wall comprising water-tubes 1 covered by metal blocks 4 having insets 7 of refractory material on the combustion chamber side, the blocks 4 are secured to the tubes by resilient wedge members 6 which engage with surfaces 5 inclined to both the vertical and horizontal planes. A filling 9 of refractory material is applied to the rear sides of the blocks after they are secured in position.
