Abstract

352,194. Closures for bottles. MEERHEIM, B., Wasungen-an-der-Werra, Germany. May 31, 1930, No. 16916. Convention date, May 31, 1929. [Class 125 (iii).] A bottle closure comprises an outer screw cap and a pliable inner cap 6 which is reduced in thickness at the centre to facilitate piercing, and is pressed into engagement with projections 3 on the bottle neck. Annular ribs or depressions 8 may be provided on the rim of the neck and the projection 3 may be replaced by depressions situated in an annular groove 2. The inner cap 6 is prevented from turning due to its engagement with the depressions &c. in the neck of the bottle. A washer 7 may be interposed between the cap 6 and the bottle. The outer screw cap is not shown in the Figure.
