[Class 40 (v).] All the elements of a valve receiver, other than the valves themselves, are formed in their flat elements and are mounted on the surface of a flat panel. The Figure shows the back of the panel with the coupling and leak resistances R, wand the conductive connections between the various terminals formed as thin strips lying flat against the panel. They may be formed by painting with metallic paint, by printing through a stencil, or by cathodic sputtering. Another process consists in blowing molten metal by compressed air through a spraying pistol in which the metal is fused by an electric arc. The coupling condensers C, grid condenser g, reaction condenser k are formed in their flat bodies, as are also the coil or coils S<1>. Tuning condensers may be formed by arranging one plate to slide over another, or by mounting one plate on a hinged flap similar to the flap of an envelope. The panel may be formed of impregnated cardboard or fibre, and an insulating sheet may cover the coupling &c. elements. Valve sockets and external terminals are formed by metal eyelets e.
