Abstract

348,759. Knitting. BORZYKOWSKI, B., Villa Hela, Herzberg, Harz, Germany. March 10, 1930, No. 7777. Convention date, June 24, 1929. Addition to 347,241. [Class 74 (ii).] When artificial filaments in cake form are used in the manner described in the parent Specification the cake b is mounted on a support a having a plane and preferably soft surface and provided with an elastic sleeve d secured to an angle bracket c to engage the interior of the cake which may be provided with a perforated sleeve e, whereby the whole of the lower surface of the cake is supported, and lateral displacement of the cake and displacement or entanglement of the coils adjacent to the support is prevented during unwinding. A protective cover, as described in the parent Specification, may be applied to the upper end of the sleeve to facilitate unwinding.
