[Class 144 (i).] A device for removing tyres from split rims comprises a pair of members j, j<1> secured to the rim by clamps f, the member j<1> having a lever b pivoted thereto and connected by an arm d to a second lever a pivoted to a link c connected with the clamp j; the lever a can be secured by a nut i and sector k, and the lever b can be engaged with a fixed catch h. To open the rim, the lever a is first moved to the right and secured by the nut i. The lever b is then moved to the right to swing the link c to the other side of the pivot and then to the left to engage the catch. The lever a is then freed and moved to the left.
