Abstract
346,298. Lamp stands. HAILWOOD, E. A., Beacon House, Texas Street, Morley, near Leeds. Jan. 7, 1930, No. 571. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iii).] The lamp-holder H is securec to a tube I having a threaded enc T<2> for engaging a lower tube A adapted to be connected with a base B so that various glass or like body parts may be clamped between the base and a collar C on the lamp-holder. Lamp shades may be used as body parts. The base is preferably formed with a series of annular steps B<1>. The tube A passes through a hole in the base and may be provided with collars A<1> for engaging shoulders M<1> or pivoted hooked or slotted plates M on the base, the parts being clamped in position by screwing the tube A along the tube T. In modifications, the collars A<1> engage with arms of a fixed bracket on the base or the tube A is provided with arms engaging recesses on the base. Shade-holders. The shade is secured by a clamp F<2> to a collar F<1> on a wire frame F carried by the lamp-holder. The frame may be adjustable in length or adapters may be fitted on the collar F to suit shades of different height.
