Abstract
345,848. Road vehicle hoods. DUVIVIER, R., 54, Rue Jean-JaurÞs, Levallois-Perret, Seine, France. April 22, 1930, No. 12466. Convention date, July 26, 1929. [Class 108 (i).] Hoods for road vehicles comprise a flexible cover supported by cantrails which are detachable and are secured at the rear by pivoted locking means and at the front to the windscreen by flexible or distortable means. The flexible cover 100 is secured at the rear in a housing having a pivoted door 111 and the housing may have a member 108 and screw 112 for stretching the cover. The cantrails may comprise two parts 88, 89, Figs. 2 and 3, distortably connected together by rubber rings and are secured to a member 103a, Fig. 9, by means of a finger 103, Fig. 8, carried by a pivoted member 104, 106 secured to the cantrail. The cantrail is secured to the windscreen bracket 85 by means of interfitting cones as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, a locking finger 91 being provided. The cover may be stretched by means of a frame pivoted, or displaceable in relation, to the windscreen.
