Abstract
343,456. Pavement gratings, scraper mats, &c. SCHULTZ, O., 16, Bayernallee, Westend, Berlin. Nov. 12, 1929, No. 34489. [Classes 20 (ii) and 107.] A pavement grating, scraper mat, or the like, comprises longitudinal bars a provided with slots c of angle shape, or with serrated sides, and transverse bars b adapted to be inserted in the slots c and having apertures or recesses e to engage the angular projections or teeth in the slots. The recesses e need not extend completely through the transverse bars b. The transverse bars may be vertically disposed as shown in Figs. 1, 3 and 5, or inclined as shown in Fig. 7. Notches f are provided in the lower parts of the transverse bars b for engaging the bottoms of the slots c. The bars are formed of flat or strip iron.
