Abstract

342,927. Sawing stone. ANDERSONGRICE CO., Ltd., PATE, J., and OGG, A. C., Taymouth Engineering Works, Carnoustie, Angus. March 4, 1930, No. 7017. [Class 124.] The device comprises a self-compensating gear for counteracting the varying inclination of' the connecting- rod in stone frame saws. The rods 5 supporting the frame are eccentrically pivoted to a plate 7 attached to a pinion 8. As this pinion is fed downwards it rotates due to its engagement with the fixed rack 11, and the shaft 4 thus follows a path approximately parallel to the mean position B of the connecting-rod.
