Oct. 11, 1929, No. 30878. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1928. [Class 12 (iii).] Centrifugalaction lubricating. - The element 30, 33 of an electro - magnetic clutch is secured to a sleeve 42 adapted to rotate freely upon a fixed stub shaft 41 enclosed by an oil bath 43 which rotates with the element. The bearing surface between the sleeve and the shaft is lubricated through a fixed pin 52 which directs the oil into the central passage through the shaft which communicates with a helical groove in the sleeve. Passages 57, 58 are provided in the plate 30 through which the oil returns into the bath.
