Abstract

340,955. Glazing ceramic ware. MASCHINENFABRIK VORM. G. DORST AKT.-GES., 5, Am Edelhof, Sonneberg, Oberlind, Germany. May 28, 1929, No. 16416. Convention date, Oct. 4, 1928. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 56.] An airtight container 1, used in the application of glaze to ceramic objects, is filled with glaze from a vat 13 by suction. The glaze rises in the container without agitation, and the vacuum existing above the glaze extracts air bubbles. The necessary suction may be obtained by connecting the container by a pipe 7 with an aspirator 9<1> operated by a water jet 9. In another construction, the glaze is first sucked into a reservoir where it is freed from air bubbles, and is then allowed to flow into the container.
