Abstract
339,634. Moore, T. F. Sept. 11, 1929. Divided on 339,632. Sinking by jetting. - A wellpoint for drawing water bearing soil to facilitate excavation comprises a valve case 8 with a polygonal upper end and a tapered circular lower end in which a nozzle section 9 is fixed by a pin &c. 10 ; float valves 6, 7, control ports 11, 13 in the part 9 and the upper wall 12 of the part 8 respectively. The valve case is secured to a straining member as in Specification 339,632. Water forced through pipe 2 and past valve 6 facilitates insertion of the device in the ground.
