334,972. King, F. June 21. 1929. Addition to 307,665, [Class 131, Tiolet &c.]. Mowing-machines. - Between each pair of fingers b of the finger bar a an oscillating cutter e is secured by a pivot f, the rear end of each cutter being pivoted to a bar g connected to a rocking lever j, pivoted to the finger bar at f<1> and actuated from the crank shaft by a pitman k. The pivots f and the connections of the cutters to the rod are so arranged that the cutting parts are inclined downwardly as shown in Fig. 3 when the cutters are in mid-position, thus increasing the cutting efficiency of the machine. The machine may be power-driven or mechanically propelled. The parent Specification is referred, to in the Provisional Specification.
