Abstract

333,126. Broadbent, T., and Rutherford, J. E. Nov. 26, 1929. Refuse-bins. - A refuse bin a is mounted by means of trunnions b on brackets e which are provided with elongated and cambered slots or grooves h so formed as to provide bearings for the trunnions in two different positions of the bin. The normal position of the bin is as shown in Fig. 1; it can be drawn forward by means of a handle o so that the trunnions pass over the rise l and rest in bearings j. The bin is now clear of the wall f and can be tilted for the purpose of emptying. An alternative arrangement in which the bin is situated in a recess in the wall is shown in Fig. 4; in this case the bin may not be provided with a cover, but a door or flap may be hung from the lintel t.
