Abstract
328,904. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Camilli, G.). Oct. 10, 1928, [Convention date]. Transformers. - For reducing leakage flux in transformers having concentric windings 11, 12, conducting members 13 connected by conductors 14 to form closed circuits are located adjacent the ends of the windings in the path of the leakage flux. Figs. 1 and 2 respectively show the invention applied to shell type and core type transformers. The invention is also applicable to three-phase transformers, the windings on the centre limb being dealt with as shown in Fig. 1, and the windings on the outer legs being dealt with as shown in Fig. 2. In transformers in which the winding 11 is divided into concentric sections with the winding 12 disposed between them, additional conducting members 15 are arranged adjacent the ends of the inner winding section.
