Electric and magnetic appliances; radiations, treating diseases with.-The apparatus of the parent Specification, which comprises a generator of high-frequency electrical oscillations having a wave-length of ten metres or less, in combination with suitable means, such as a. condenser, coil, antenna, or the like adapted to transfer the energy to the body of the patient without being in conductive contact therewith, is modified by the addition of a metallic screen so arranged as to prevent the electrostatic or magnetic lines of force radiating to objects in the neighbourhood of the apparatus. The screen, which may be continuous or consist of a plurality of paralled wires, may surround the patient and the whole of the apparatus, including the generator. In cases, however, where a part of the body, for example an arm or a leg. is under treatment, the screen may surround this part and the treating apparatus only.
