Abstract
326,688. Mamiya, S. April 17, 1929. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Focusing - devices. - Focusing is effected in a camera, fitted with a focal plane shutter by viewing the image thrown by the lens on the shutter through an eyepiece in the back of the camera after reflection in a concave mirror mounted on the front plate, means being provided to close the eyepiece just before the exposure is made. The camera consists of a box 1, Fig. 3, bearing a fixed frame 2 supporting by springs 6 a frame 3 to which the front plate 9 is secured by toggles 10. A pivoted rod 50 engages a ring 51 on the plate 3 and is connected by an arm i, Fig. 1, to the release knob 49 so that when this knob is pressed the lens is moved back a distance equal to that between the focal plane shutter and the sensitive material. At the same time the arm i moves a lever 53 by means of a sprig 54, causing a sliding shutter 43, Fig. 3, to close the viewing aperture 38.
