326,351. Bovingdon, G. E. March 12, 1929. Sliding seats; adjustments. - A slidable seat comprising fixed and movable interengaging slides A, D, is locked in adjusted position by a longitudinally disposed spring- controlled handled rod G, carried by and within the movable member D and having an inner cranked end K adapted to project sidewardly through a slot L in the wall of the member D into engagement with one or other of the slots N in the wall of the fixed member A. The spring J is shown secured at one end to a lug F<1> and at the other end to the rod G, and longitudinal movement of the rod is prevented by the lug F<2> and the collar M.
