Abstract

326,258. Wildy, E. L., and London Electric Wire Co. & Smiths, Ltd. Dec. 13, 1928. Transformers. - An unscreened transformer unit comprises two transformers each transformer being provided with a series of tappings connected to rotatable( contacts, so that one or other of the transformers can be connected to a corresponding series of fixed contacts. As shown, plug-in coils 4, 5 have tappings connected respectively to blade spring contacts 7, 8 which co-operate with fixed contacts 15 and terminals 16. The rotatable contacts are mounted on a spindle 10 journaled in bearings 11, 12. Tho device can be housed in a casing of insulating- material.
