Abstract
325,395. Cahill Carton Corporation. Oct. 26, 1928. [Convention date]. Fittings, internal; lids.-A box or carton B having end walls one of which 20 serves as a closure giving access to the box, has box-like inserts C fitted within it in wall abutting and bracing relation therewith, the inserts having open ends free of closures and adapted to be closed by the end walls of the box body. As shown the two inserts C are of identical construction and comprise 'top and bottom walls 40, 41 and side walls 42, 43, the walls 40, 41, 42 at one end of each insert being cut away along edges 50, 51 to accommodate the wings 24, 25 of the closure 20 when the box is closed and limit their inward movement. The inserts may be collapsed on bending lines between the walls thereof and when more than two inserts are used, the walls of the end ones only are cut away as described above. The end closure 18 of the box may consist of a number of interconnected flap as described in Specification 329,706, and the closure 20 with its wings 24, 25 and finger tab 29 is constructed as described in Specification 326,006.
