Indiarubber compositions containing hydroquinone; indiarubber, vulcanizing, preserving, and attaching to other articles.-A composition consists of rubber, sulphur, with, if desired, an accelerator, hydroquinone, a glucoside such as aesculin or a phenol formaldehyde condensation product and a filler. The rubber may be in the form of solution or latex and the filler is asbestos, quartz, or mica. Carbide may be added to increase the hardness. In an example, the composition consists in parts by weight of rubber 14, sulphur 20, zinc oxide 3¢, hydroquinone 1¢, aesculine ¢ to 1 and filler 60 to 60¢. The composition may be dissolved in cyclohexanol and sprayed in a jet of hot air.
