Sliding hinges.-The hinge device for a slidable and swinging door 3 according to the parent Specification is constructed so that the guide bar 1 fixed to the wall is made U-shape in crosssection and has a guide slot 6 that is engaged by the hinge pin 10 carried by the bracket 5 attached to the door 3, the bracket 5 being fitted with balls or rollers 11 which rest upon the upper side of the bar 1 when the door slides to one side of the door opening. During this sliding movement a Z-shaped bar 4 attached to the door beneath the bracket arm 5 engages the underside of the bar 1 to effect the guided movement of the door.
