Abstract

323,067. Deutsche Telephonwerke und Kabelindustrie Akt.-Ges. Oct. 12, 1928. Addition to 298,580. Electrically operated and controlled by vehicle.-In a pneumatic dispatch or like conveying system receivers adjacent the track controlling track-points operated inductively as described in the parent Specification comprise a number of magnet fields' arranged to operate successively so as to permit high speeds of travel. Fig. 1 shows a system in which the carrier D provided with magnetic rings e influences successively magnets S in pairs and operates through a valve V and relay A a relay N arranged to operate a switch point M and to lock itself over contact 1 until released by the carrier actuating contact k. Failure of the filament of the valve V releases' relay C which switches in a reserve valve VI. Fig. 7 shows a modification in which a moving coil relay H is employed, the currents induced in the magnet S1 exciting the field h1 and those induced in the magnet S2 exciting the coil h2. The magnets may be interspaced with one another, as shown in Fig. 2, to reduce the overall length of the control apparatus. The reluctance of the magnetic circuit may be reduced by employing a brass tube insertion F1, Fig. 19, of reduced section having magnetic pole insertions E.
