Board games.-A golf or other ball game apparatus comprises a representation of the course, means for determining, by chance, the length and direction of the stroke and a device separate from the representation for plotting thereon this length and direction. The representation in the form of a plan or chart, parts of which may be in relief, has marked upon it a tee A, green B, hole B<1>, bunkers C and other hazards such as a road D and rushes L. Different sheets representing different holes may be removably mounted on a board of cork or soft wood into which pins representing balls can readily be inserted. The length and direction of the stroke are determined bv two differently coloured dice, and a list of distances and directions may be supplied by which the numbers on the dice are interpreted. The plotting device consists of a sector-shaped piece F of transparent material having perforations F<1>. The apex of the device is placed over the tee A, its centre line pointing towards the hole B<1> and a mark made on the chart by inserting a pencil point through the perforation indicated by the two dice. This mark is then used as a starting point for the second stroke. Instead of the dice. spinning pointers or other indicators may be used.
