Abstract

322,079. Trier, V. A. Nov. 16, 1928. Road-traffic signals on vehicles. - In direction indicators for motor-vehicles of the kind in which a switch for illuminating signs is set by hand and restored to the "off" position by the return movement of the steering- wheel, the switch lever H on being set by hand rotates a spindle P carrying a roller E which is thus moved from the. position shown in Fig. 2 in full lines between two conical terminals C, C<1> to the raised position shown in broken lines between one of the terminals C, C and one of the stop terminals D, D<1>. The lever H is thus lifted so that its spring-supported knob J may be engaged by a part of the steering-wheel L<1> on its return movement, the lever H being thereby restored to neutral. When the wheel is turned from its " mid " position the knob J yields without moving the lever H.
