Abstract

322,053. Long, N. D. Oct. 20, 1928. Piston apparatus for discharging receptacles. - Apparatus for delivering plastic materials comprises a piston 6 and threaded piston rod 2 carried by a base 1, a cylinder 4 having a threaded sleeve 3 which fits the piston rod 2. The cylinder is fitted with a screwed perforated cap 5. The plastic material is contained in a carton 7 arranged with false bottom 8 so that by the rotation of the cylinder, the piston advances the false bottom into the container and delivers the material through the perforation. In a modification the carton is fixed in the cylinder by a bayonet joint and the cap 5 is omitted.
