Abstract

Hand-trucks.-In an elevating-truck the platform I is raised by means of a pedal F, as shown, and retained in its raised position by a catch J holding a bolt N, the catch being operated by the pedal K. To release the catch the weight of the load is taken by the pedal lever F. For raising heavy loads the lift may be in stages, by means of a ratchet and pawl or otherwise.
