Abstract
321,100. Rouy, D., and Masson, G. Dec. 19, 1928. Osiers, treating.-A machine for stripping osier rods comprises a box-frame 22 in which is mounted a drum 1 provided with comb-shaped knives 5 which are pivoted on longitudinal bars 10 and pass through longitudinal slots in guide bars 15 on the drum periphery. Various forms of cutters are described in the Specification. The drum is enclosed by a hood 7 pivoted at 23 and yieldingly held to the machine table by a spring 24. The hood is provided with a feed-funnel 8, a sighthole 9, and a freely mounted roller 21 for guiding the osier rods into the machine.
